Pest control insurance FAQs
Does general liability cover pesticide claims?
Not always. Many general liability policies exclude pollution and pesticides. Pest control operators need a policy written for their work, or separate pollution liability coverage.
Do I need errors & omissions insurance for termite inspections?
If you issue wood-destroying organism inspection reports, yes. Claims that a report missed damage usually fall under errors & omissions, not general liability.
What bond does a California pest control company need?
Registering your company with the Structural Pest Control Board requires a bond. We write the Pest Control Company Registration Bond along with your insurance.
Is fumigation covered by a standard pest control policy?
Not every carrier covers fumigation. If you fumigate, we work with carriers that specifically include it.
How much does pest control insurance cost?
It depends on your services, revenue and payroll, number of technicians, vehicles, and claims history. A free quote is the quickest way to know. We'll compare several carriers for you.
Not sure what your policy excludes?
Send it over. We'll review it and tell you where you stand.
